From the beach stage to the ballroom, Dimensions Festival 2017 has been one to remember. Dimensions’ sixth edition bought together a dedicated party crew who kept momentum strong despite the rain, showing that spirits are not easily dampened in Croatia’s favourite fort. Over 200 artists played a part in Dimensions Festival 2017, with everything from big, bassy techno to soulful jazz sounds and world explorations. Theo Parrish, Nina Kraviz, Ben UFO, Willow, Exit Records, Metalheadz, Cymande and Jonwayne get a special shout out, all delivering highlight sets across the four Dimensions days, and of course much love to the Dimensions DJ Directory talent - our extended global family of selectors.

Wednesday’s concert was the perfect start, with Grace Jones slaying in Pula’s much loved amphitheatre, and Moderat delivering an incredible show as one of their last ever performances as a group. Thursday’s heavy line up consisted of a big Hessle Audio takeover in Dimensions’ famous Moat stage, held down by label boss Ben UFO, Pangea, Pearson Sound and more, plus Resident Advisor’s Void takeover saw breakout talent Powder play, as well as Joy Orbison and Binh. Friday was another smash with Exit Records providing some high tempo DnB and jungle, Dettmann going deep with the techno and Dimensions family member Dan Shake holding it down at the Clearing, along with Scott Grooves, Gilla and more.

Saturday was very special, a party for all the committed crew who stayed until 6am to the sounds of Cymande, Theo Parrish, Levon Vincent amongst others, on top of stage takeovers from Rush Hour, Metalheadz and PDV Records. Rush Hour gang celebrated their 20th year in the game at The Stables, bringing together a solid team from their extended fam. Sets from Kamma and Masalo, Sassy J, Antal, Interstellar Funk and Sadar Bahar playing with Lee Collins all kept the dancers going until the morning with an eclectic selection of jazz, funk, disco and everything in between. Daphni was a highlight at The Clearing too. To round off, Sunday saw heavy sounding acid cuts from Nina Kraviz, solid selections from MCR’s finest Willow and Goldie dropping a techno special too. The refreshed Garden stage hosted Worldwide FM’s Thristian, Gilles Peterson, and Danny Krivit - making sure dancers kept moving all night long. Across the week, our Dimensions Directory DJs smashed it, with residents Sean OD, Will Lister, Mafalda, andwot, Alex Rita and the rest of the team all stepping up across the weekend.

Dimensions Festival’s Knowledge Arena also bought an education element to the festival, with panels, discussions, drop ins and more. For the first time Dimensions had its own radio station, with Balamii and Worldwide FM taking control over three days, and sets from Thristian, Sassy J, Kamma and Masalo, DJ Directory artists and more.

Six years deep, Dimensions Festival continues to pave the way for forward thinking music, each year delivering an incredible line up and an unparalleled vibe. Dimensions would like to thank every single person who has been part of this years event. See you next year.
