STREET FEAST’S NEW FESTIVAL ‘EASTIVAL’ COMPLETE IT'S TWO DAY CELEBRATION

The team behind Dinerama, Hawker House and Giant Robot have joined forces with the founder of Eastern Electrics to bring you Eastival: one unmissable day of food and grooves from London’s best street food traders, disco legends Horse Meat Disco plus more. Day two sees a rare opportunity to witness orchestral interpretations of some fabled albums from the past. The 16 piece orchestra complete with full string sections will perform Dr Dre’s 2001, Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Beyonce’s Lemonade, Destiny's Child’s Greatest Hits, Frank Ocean’s Blonde vs Orange and Daft Punk’s Greatest Hits. Expect a globe-spanning street food selection from the best in the business, all in one place for the first time in a LONG time. Taking place on Saturday to Sunday 7th - 8th August, Street Feast are treating London to an imaginative two days of entertainment surrounded by incredible food for just £15.

Just a few from the 20-strong line-up include fiery jerk chicken from White Men Can’t Jerk, buttery lobster rolls from Bob’s Lobster, aged-beef patties from cult favourites Burger & Beyond and Latino fried chicken with crispy yuca fries from El Pollote.

Save room for Fundi’s famous wood-fired pizza or take Peloton Pizza for a spin – a brand new pizza-and-cycling concept, by a breakaway gang of chefs from London’s best pizzerias. Hot off the grill is Rocket Dogs (don’t miss their UK-Chilli-Cook-Off-winning Chilli Dog), and look out for juicy vegan wings from No Bonez, our resident plant-based bosses. Don’t leave your sweet tooth at home – Secret Nicky’s silky frozen custard blitzed with fresh-baked biscuit, nuts, caramels and sauces is a must-eat summer sundae plus Rocket Dogs and Up My Grill.

Dust off your dancing shoes for Saturday's headliners Horse Meat Disco - the awesome foursome leading London’s disco scene, with 16 years of worldwide fame at their fingertips. Purveyors of parties and queer clubbing for all, they’ll be taking the stage at Eastival for a sunshine set to remember. We’ve also got live music and DJs spinning soul, hip-hop and more, plus giant festival bars serving ice cold craft beers and world-class cocktails. They are joined by Auntie Flo, Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy and Stevie Wonderland.

The open-air rendition of classic albums is a rare spectacle for London to witness on the Sunday, being performed back to back will provide six hours of live string filled beats with rappers and singers to accompany. Moving through the sterling back catalogue of some of the greats, Sunday will be a boozy day with mates reminiscing on old times. 

Prince fans will also get a special treat, renowned DJ Rob Da Bank and Tayo team up to provide an open-air Prince experience. The pair will drop a booty-shaking array of sing-along anthems and fat floor fillers. Expect the deepest cuts, amazing remixes, cheeky bootlegs, and incredible cover versions to keep the party bouncing long after the orchestra goes home. This will a celebration of Dance, Music, Sex, Romance, it’s guaranteed to be historic and a fitting tribute to Prince.

Eastival is brought to us by Street Feast, the same team that created Dinerama, Hawker House and Giant Robot. Now they are using the event expertise to create a two day festival for East London. Street food specialists and vibe veterans, this event will be no different.
